In 2010, Botta-Design introduced a new product variant: the "Black Edition". These watches are subjected to a complicated procedure which gives them an extremely hard surface of the sort normally found, for example, in professional tools. To protect them against wear, high-tech drills made of hardened steel are finished using the same technology as the watch cases in the Black Edition. This produces a surface which is much tougher and more resistant even than high-quality stainless steel and titanium cases, providing optimum protection against scratches and an extremely refined look.

The SOLUS watch combines technical clarity and simplicity with maximum comfort and quality: Extensive technical effort was employed to reduce the thickness of the titanium case, with its eight screws, to just 4.9 mm. The visible height of the watch is equivalent to that of a one euro coin! Perfectly sized for both men and women. With its stark black and gray tones, it offers a high level of sophistication that is a perfect fit with formal wear or designer clothing.

All the other components of the watch are of equally high quality: a Swiss-made Ronda movement, vegetable-tanned calf nappa leather strap, sapphire crystal. Like all watches from Botta Design, the SOLUS is developed and manufactured entirely in Germany.
